Change Yourself, Change the World!

Nowadays psychologists say that many youngsters don’t have a dream. They relate the concept of dreams to proprietary, physical terms: a new gadget, a trip to an exotic country, or a well-paid job.

Dreaming is like hiking a mountain. Even though you are eager to run and reach the destination you desire as fast as possible, you must move forward one step at a time with passion and ambition. Perhaps this is the

attitude youngsters are lacking. They don’t strive for anything and it’s because they’ve been given everything. My impression is that they have extreme difficulty in finding themselves. That’s why we need to guide the young people back into the real world and help them find their own dreams to pursue.

I dream of a world where strong-minded individuals come together to create a healthy society that emphasizes an individual’s uniqueness. If we can create that world, I believe we can create change inside people.

The world we have created is the outcome of our thinking process, and it cannot be changed unless our thinking is changed. So, I have started changing the world by changing myself. In other words, I am shaping a better version of myself every day by stepping outside of my comfort zone and challenging myself to keep learning new things. Furthermore, for the past few years I’ve been working as an IT Project Manager on projects for government and international development organizations. These projects are all designed to be effective long-term in order to achieve the SDGs. Currently, I’m engaged in the Armenian Energy Sector Liberalization project, as well as the ongoing development of results-based monitoring and evaluation information management systems for the leading development agency in Europe.

I want to change the world for the better. That is my dream, and when shared with someone, its power can be multiplied. In other words, the more people believe in my dream, the more certain it will become a reality. Therefore, going back to where I started, if you suddenly feel that you do not have dreams, I am ready to share mine with you. I am confident that together we can create the future today so we can rise above our dreams tomorrow.
