My dream is to build an interconnected and sustainable world where every human being is acknowledged and valued as a member of society, where the path to access justice is eased and everyone gets to live with enough dignity through their shared responsibility towards others.
Having born and raised up in Bangladesh, I got to see the many facets of social, legal and economic struggles of my country folk, especially people living below the poverty line. All these structural anomalies made no sense to me. That led me to study law because I not only wanted to help and empower people but also educate them in taking a hold of their lives by building a safe and secured future for themselves and coming generations.
Ever since I was young, I was highly driven and energetic about solving real life problems around me, and so I wanted others around me to believe in their potentials and pursue their dreams and aspirations in face of all adversity. In the process of doing so, I understood the power of empathy and how essential it is for the world to have caring individuals, who want to resolve conflicts, heal wounds and give back voices to the silenced and marginalized. I matured into a person who felt deeply about the worries and woes of others.
That realization became more embedded in me as part of my learning after attending the One Young World Summit in 2018 at the Hague in the Netherlands, which was coincidentally also the international city of peace and justice. I was in the delegation of Nobel Laureate Professor Muhammad Yunus who has been a role model for me by championing a poverty free world and dedicating his entire life working towards realizing his visions.
In fulfilling my duties of an aware global citizen, I serve as an Associate in a dynamic law firm in order to ensure people’s access to justice and establish rule of law in Bangladesh. I take part in many charitable and NGO work in my spare time. One notable NGO I engage with provides free education and academic tool kits to underprivileged children in a formal classroom setting, including health care and social services to them and their families. Occasionally, I write on various socio-legal issues on a number of platforms to raise social awareness among the youth. My dream can only be achieved by inspiring others.
