Becoming a person that contributes to helping kids all around the world to have the same chance as me, a chance to dream, that is my life goal. As a 13 year old student, I have the obligation to study and learn at school. I am thankful that I got the privilege to have a proper education. Knowing that millions of kids my age, still do not have the chance to read and write. Since I’ve set this goal, I keep thinking about what I can do to achieve my dream. What will be in the future? Will I become a painter and use that chance to auction my work and meet my goal. Or will become a teacher, that will volunteer and teach other kids. Even at my age, I am still confused, what will I be when I grow up to help others.
In 2020, I got the chance to attend the Global Leadership Summit. I was there, listening and motivated by their life experience. Believe or not, they work all their way up from the rock bottom. Even with all those obstacles and hardships, their determination and spirit to achieve their goal never dies. One of the speaker’s words kept lingering inside my head. “If you commit to the what, and are consumed by your why, you will figure out how.” By then, I started to state all 3 variables. My “why”, my goal, will never change. With that my what and how variables are still missing.
To obtain the “what”, I keep taking all opportunities that are given to me. With the advantage of being a student and having that chance to experience a lot of different activities. I can learn from other’s experiences and knowledge. I think to obtain your “what”, all you gotta do is be yourself and be original. Knowing what you enjoy and what made you feel special. After obtaining your what and why, start planning your how. How will you use your what, your specialtyy, to become a positive impact to the world or to achieve your goal? I believe if I dedicate myself and commit to what I am enjoying, I will become that “someone.” This is my dream, so what’s yours?
