Living in a developing country like myself sometimes be seen as there’s a gap of human right related issues stolen unfairly. In specific, the way I look at how advanced other countries development in terms of equality is amazed me enough. Wondering the concept of no one left behind as it’s attached on the campaign of SDGs goal is something that people are put their working progress on the right path. As the direct result by seeing everybody’s dedication despite the terms of impossible is always be there, often makes me realised there’s big hole happened and we can’t just do nothing.
It’s been five years I exposed my daily routine with the topics of disability issue related. At a glance, the breakthrough moment initiated since I was at college. I was nothing back then with the minimum effort. I started my engagement with having extra miles of understanding in regards to contextual of the complexity of Indonesia disability’ issue. To put in a mind where myself, as a person, I could see the objectives before I decided to dedicate my commitment, time, even resources of mine I showed to the public.
The more I felt I entered inside the room, the more I’m aware this complicated field requires more support system to change the whole sectors. I almost surrender with my critical success I set at the first place, yet the spirit always to be a long life student burns my spirit fire once again. Also, the way I had enough personal human to human interaction and bonding with disability surrounding players was the checkpoint to always re-charge my inclusive spirit.
In 2017, together with other fellows, I was starting my initiative which our vision to bridge the economic issues specific for disability entrepreneurs to get more accessible funds access & marketing platform for their commodities. The chosen idea came across related to the uprising of the start-up’ trend in Indonesia that we place disability as our partner to grow. The more of being a subject rather than an object. Along the way two years of progress working with all ups and downs and public compliance, we once stopped for a while. Today, with enriched perspective and fresher idea to generate, the same issue we’re trying to convey is how education becomes crucial as primary disability fundamental aspect underneath “Semua Tidak Berjarak” entity.
