“You will love creating opportunities and solutions for a better world with your mind.”
“You will love and protect the environment for future generations with your body.”
“You will love your life and reach out for your full potential with your soul.”
When I was young, I created art and everyday objects out of trash with my mind. My talent led me to become the school’s artist, organizing community projects to transform problems into solutions. I recognized societal issues and used buildings and businesses to make changes for my community. Some of the questions I always asked when I created were. . .
“How can we create more with less resources?”
“How can we reuse discarded material to create something beautiful?” “How can I get more use out of this building, space, or these materials?”
My work took my body into the forest, where I lived with the indigenous people of Malaysia. They were the ones who taught me how to live with nature, such as using leaves as natural plastic, foraging for vegetables, and eating less meat. I had clarity, my body was healthy, I was making things with my hands and walking about freely, and was gifted blessings from the community toward my well-being.
I started to appreciate and love nature for the abundance it was offering me. I did not create waste or use money. I bathed in the river, did not use electricity, and I felt so alive with the sounds of animals, insects, and trees. I fell in love with nature, and I wanted to reconnect people to it.
With my love for the forest guiding my soul, I wanted to share my story with the world, and the One Young World Summit allowed me to speak my truth. My truth aligned with the work I loved to do and the place I thrived in, and I found myself in the process.
This summit also gifted me with the goal of becoming a global sustainability leader. I was empowered to create significant change, among the most exceptional change-makers in the world. My dream is for people to be in full awareness with their mind, body, and soul to be one with the world, just as I had experienced in the forest. This led me to launch my own advisory business. Through mind, body, and soul, I now strive to help people discover their own life purpose. Let’s embark on a journey together to find yourself!
