A skyscraping dream snatches my all thoughts

It is easy to dream at night when we sleep but it is hard to make that dream real. Our reality is harder than I thought.

I am Angona Biswas from Bangladesh. It is a developing country in Asia. Gender inequality and gender discrimination still exist here. I saw the mentality of people how they treat a woman. It is more in rural area. I belong from an educated family and my family gives me the freedom of better education. I had a dream from class eight, that was different from the point of my society view. I wanted to become a pilot. I think this is a challenging profession and I will find my freedom when I will fly in the sky. It is more than anything to me.

For me, my dream means to win the challenge, to set an example for my society and to fly at high. After my higher secondary I wanted to be an aeronautical engineer. But I didn’t find any public engineering university for that and my family could not afford any private university because of cost.

Again, my family was strictly against my opinion. They just told me that it is not for our middle-class family. I didn’t find any way to walk with my dream. I was selected for the department of electronics and telecommunication engineering of a public university. I thought that I would forget my dream. But that was not happened. Still when I hear any sound of aeroplane or helicopter, my heart is broken down in tears. This is really painful to carry a broken dream.

But I am thinking from the last few months. Why will I drop my dream because of money or because of the view of society? I will not let my dream die. I must try to fulfill my dream. I don’t care about the others. I decide that I will study again after graduation. I will fly in the sky. Yes, I have to work hard gathering money and have to concentrate to study again.

Through this book I want to motivate many readers so they can be inspired to fulfill their dream. My dream is obviously related to the mission of SDGs mainly SDGs4 and SDGs17. Quality education is a basic right for any gender and it will be helpful if I get any partnership to reach my goal.
